Thank you to everyone who attended the 2011 Calgary Rocky Mountain Wine & Food Festival. This year's Festival was a huge success thanks to all of the participants and consumers who came out, celebrated, served, and sampled the best food, wine, beer, and premium spirits in Calgary. Tickets are day specific and only valid for one session. Each session is the same. An entrance ticket brings you into the Grand Tasting Hall where you can purchase Festival sampling coupons, allowing you to customize what you try and how much you spend.

**Please note that tickets at the door are based on availability. Tickets will not be sold at the door if the Tasting Session sells out prior to the event.
Although line-ups are not anticipated, they may be present during peak arrival times. Take the fast-track to flavour with a Front of the Line Ticket. A Front of the Line Ticket guarantees immediate entry into the Grand Tasting Hall through an exclusive entrance, and includes a welcome chocolate, sample of bubbly, bottle of water coupon, and access to a private coat check!
Corporate tickets were available for groups of 20 or more on Friday or Saturday. Please email chantel@rockymountainwine.com for information on Corporate tickets.
Sampling coupons are available for $0.50 and can be purchased at the Grand Tasting Hall. Samples range from 1 to 20 or more coupons, depending on the item.

The first 500 consumers to their booth each evening received a free wine-holder plate at this year's Festival!

On October 14th and 15th, 2011 wine and food lovers were invited to indulge at the 14th annual Calgary Rocky Mountain Wine & Food Festival. The Festival featured a wide array of world-class wine, premium spirits, import and micro-brewed beer, and an assortment of local culinary creations in a fun, social, and relaxed atmosphere. With larger halls, more exhibitors, and record attendance, the Festival was one of the most successful events to date!
The Festival hosted over 170 exhibitor booths showcasing an impressive selection of samples and products ranging from value-based to ultra-exclusive finds. Held in the newly renovated halls at Stampede Park's BMO Centre, the Grand Tasting Hall offered the unique opportunity to explore new products and menus, interact with experts, and discover new favourites. With an onsite liquor store, attendees were able to immediately pick up new and exciting finds and old favourites.

We would like to congratulate the winner of the Grand Sample Search - Chop Steakhouse & Bar. Consumers voted the slow braised boneless beef ribs as their favourite food sample at this year's Festival! Second place went to UBU Lounge who served spicy tuna rolls, soy glaze pork ribs and lobster corn dogs, and placing third was The Broken Plate who served paidakia and lamb exhiko.
This year, attendees had the opportunity to meet award winning winemaker Charles Smith and friends at the Black and White wine booth, hosted by Purple Valley. We’d like to extend a big thanks to Charles Smith and friends for attending this year's Festival and making it extra special for our attendees.
The Wine Access International Value Wine Awards were back at this year's Festival! Attendees enjoyed the exclusive chance to sample medal winning wines from the 2011 Wine Access International Value Wine Awards. This award program seeks to find the best wines available in Canada that retail for $25 or less. Check out the 2011 competition results.
Throughout the tasting sessions, consumers were invited to attend complimentary Cheese Seminars hosted by the Dairy Farmers of Canada. Consumers gained valuable knowledge on Canadian cheese made from 100% Canadian milk, wine pairing suggestions and other interesting information while enjoying complimentary samples of cheese.
This year's Grand Prize at the Calgary Rocky Mountain Wine & Food Festival was an All-Inclusive Weekend Getaway for two at the beautiful Sunshine Mountain Lodge! The winner will escape for an evening away at Banff's only ski-in, ski-out hotel in the heart of the Sunshine Village Ski & Snowboard Resort. They will enjoy two night's accommodation, VIP parking, dinner for two at Chimney Corner restaurant, and a couple's spa treatment. While guests indulged in the wide selection of gourmet food samples offered at the Festival, they could note their favourite restaurant’s sample for a chance to win four Front of the Line tickets and $100 in sampling coupons to next year’s Festival.
