2007 Calgary Rocky Mountain Wine & Food Festival!
 

The 2007 Grand Tasting Hall brought together an array of Calgary and area restaurants, food producers and hotels to cook up sensational samples ranging from coconut crusted prawns to lamb lollypops; handmade truffles to artisan cheese; sushi to sizzling hot curries. An enormous wine selection including all the medal winning wines from the 2007 Vino Awards were featured, along with scotch, port, and other premium adult beverages.

$1 from every ticket sold to the Grand Tasting Hall was donated to the SAIT Hospitality & Tourism Program to create scholarships for cooking and hospitality students!

Most Sensational Sample Contest

New this year, restaurants and food vendors competed to make the Most Sensational Sample in the Festival. Consumers voted for their favourite among a long list of appetizers, mini-main dishes and desserts in the competition. Over fifty people won restaurant gift certificates and a subscription to Western Living Magazine!

Second Place: Deerfoot Inn & Casino’s Braised Pork Rib Finger
